I started my 911 Communications career in 2010, proud to be part of the team answering the call and dispatching help for members of the community. Over the years, my role has evolved with each opportunity to serve and lead in different capacities. I am currently the Communications Center Director of South Sound 911 in Washington State. I believe in improving and adapting systems to meet ever-changing needs, leading with empathy, and the power of collaboration and community.
I understand the unique impacts this life has on our first responders and their families. Through holding multiple roles in my agency, supporting people during different journeys, and my own personal experiences, I am an advocate for providing access to resources and culturally competent care for responders. I am passionate about building a culture of resiliency and support for those who serve to live healthy lives with the capacity to show up for themselves, their family, and the community. “
